SD, CA - Pacific Beach

We heard on TV that the average per person expense for Valentine’s day is $126.00. I’m thinking that 2 people out there are spending $252 since Gary and I will spend not even a fraction of that.

After breakfast every morning I stroll down to the beach on the bay here. I love to just stand there and look out at the water, the view across the water, the scullers, the paddle boarders, the ducks and gulls, the jet skis and anything else out there. Often the water is glassy smooth and reflects it all. Our campground has a marina and here are the boats moored at the docks, waiting for their owners to take them out.

Here’s a view across the water.

Then we can head on down to Pacific Beach, only a few miles away for awesome views of the ocean at dusk,

I never get enough of the ocean when we are here in San Diego and I miss it when we are inland.

  1. Loved the TP outside the stalls. We saw something at the Griffith Observatory that made us laugh. There was a TP roll on the dashboard of a car in its own little carrier. I would have taken a picture, but the family was getting into the car. We wondered if it was there because of freeway driving. Maybe an idea for flatlanders on those curvy roads with no guardrails!!

  2. Hi, Sherron,
Yep, public bathrooms often leave something to be desired. My current observation is that some out here in San Diego don't have doors on the stalls. Today I was in one near a large baseball complex with 4 diamonds. No doors and when I walked in there was a mother with her little son. Luckily they were leaving as I was coming in but ... yikes.
