Mexican Hat, UT - A Day of Rest

And, today we relaxed. We’re going to be in a National Park campground for the next 3 nights without any hook-ups. Time to get the laundry done, our electronic gadgets charged, some muffins made and whatever else we need to do with electricity done.

Gary’s first chore was to clean our hiking boots. You can see the color of the water we waded through yesterday and we want to get all of that out of the boots. He squirted the hose into them for a bit and let the water run out. He then took a brush to the soles to get out all the sand we had picked up in our hike after we got wet.

I was then able to persuade him to vacuum the house.

Me, I did 3 loads of laundry, bookkeeping and blog writing.

Two days ago, Gary had helped our neighbors fix their windshield wiper and today, Wendy brought over some apricot chutney she had made from apricots which grow around her home in Canada. Since I had already planned on chicken for dinner, I used the chutney for the sauce. Delicious. I’ll have to lend Gary out some more.

Getting ready to move on.
